Bhushan Akshikar has been appointed as VP & Managing Director of GSK India effective 1st December 2022.
Bhushan Akshikar is a seasoned business leader with a successful track record of over 26 years across several geographies within the pharmaceutical industry. Bhushan joined GSK India in September 2011 to lead the specialty business and commercial excellence function. In 2014, he was appointed Head of the Mass Markets business. He was subsequently elevated as the Managing Director of the publicly listed entity of GSK in Nigeria, Africa in end– 2016. Apart from a strong business turn–around, he also built a high performing, resilient team. He then moved to Turkey in 2019 as the VML to drive strategic initiatives and launches in both private and tender segments in the Middle East, Russia CIS & Africa region. In December 2020 he returned to India as the Commercial Head of the General Medicines business and has led a cultural transformation journey delivering strong results reflected in the competitive performance of all flagship brands.
Before joining GSK, Bhushan spent 15 years with Janssen, Johnson & Johnson, in various roles leading both specialty and primary care business units in local and regional positions living in India, S. Korea and Belgium.
Bhushan is married and has two sons. He loves exploring different cultures, languages and cuisine with his family in his free time.

Amitabh is recently appointed as the Country President for Novartis In India. Prior to this Amitabh was the Country President for Novartis Vietnam and was also the General Manager for Novartis Oncology for Vietnam. He was the Chairman of the Local Industry Forum in Vietnam – Pharma Group and was also the Board member of the same. In last 2-year Amitabh has played a significant role in leading on Policy matters for the Industry in Vietnam
Prior to this role Amitabh was the General Manager Novartis Oncology India and was heading business operations for India, Srilanka, Nepal and Maldives. Along with this, he has additional responsibility as Head of Marketing and Commercial Excellence for Asia Cluster. Amitabh has more than 28 years of experience in pharma industry, with consistent track record of achieving business results and has led various business functions. For last 14 years, he has worked in General Management and has been part of various leadership teams.
Before joining Novartis, Amitabh worked with Roche a leading Swiss pharma company as the Business Director of Oncology Business Unit and has been responsible for launching some blockbuster molecules in India. In his tenure of 12 years with Roche, he has lead successfully functions of corporate affairs, business operations, marketing and sales. He started his career in pharmaceutical industry as front-line sales role with Nicholas Piramal India Limited. Amitabh is well versed with various aspects of the pharmaceutical market in India including the corporate affairs, regulatory & IP environment, pricing, sales, strategic marketing, business development, distribution and supply chain. Amitabh Is extremely Passionate about Healthcare strengthening and focus on improving the Quality care for Patients . He is also very Focused on developing and promoting talents in Pharmaceutical & Healthcare space

A seasoned general management professional, Anil has extensive experience in the Healthcare / Pharma / Life Sciences space having worked across MNCs, leading Indian companies and a start-up in Dubai.
After superannuating as Managing Director of Zydus Healthcare Ltd, Anil was engaged as Senior Advisor – Life Sciences at IQVIA Consulting and Information Services India Pvt. Ltd., and most recently as Operating Partner at Jashvik Capital – a mid-market Private Equity Fund focussed on Healthcare & Consumer sector.
He has also spearheaded operations in leading pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis India Ltd, GSK India and Globalpharma, Dubai.
He is a strategic collaborator who interfaces with Board of Directors and relevant stakeholders to position business growth and operational ingenuity. An influential leader, Anil has championed multi-million-dollar businesses and is proficient in unlocking company value by successfully executing growth strategies, institutionalizing controls, and enhancing productivity.
His proven skill sets in operations leadership, change management, team building, deal negotiations, regulatory compliance, strategy development and management consulting contributed towards market leading results. During his tenure, the pharmaceutical business of Novartis in India grew faster than the MNC pharma sector and Zydus Healthcare Ltd also improved its market share, besides improving EBIDTA margins by over 40%.

Shreyas has more than two and a half decades of experience in Finance and Accounting. Shreyas leads the finance and administration function in OPPI overseeing the budget management, accounting, financial planning and analysis, and is also responsible for the smooth functioning of the Secretariat. Prior to OPPI, Shreyas has spent 21 years at Pfizer Ltd and has handled areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Long Range Planning, P&L Management, Pricing, Accounts Receivable & Cost Audit. A Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), Shreyas started his career with Cadbury India Limited and has worked with Boehringer Mannheim Limited and Ciba Geigy Limited.

Suresh Pattathil is the Managing Director & General Manager, Allergan India (an AbbVie company) and also the President of the OPPI (Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India). He is responsible for the commercial operations of AbbVie in India region which includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
With more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Suresh has held several senior management positions in companies such as Pfizer, Schering Plough, MSD and Ferring. Most recently he was the Chief Executive Officer for Ferring Pharmaceuticals India with responsibility for Commercial operations, Research & Development center and setting up a pilot plant and manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. He has a broad experience in both specialty as well as mass therapeutic areas and in launching global products successfully in India. In his role as President of OPPI he drives the advocacy efforts for the global pharmaceutical companies in India.
Some of the key initiatives Suresh has driven in his career are in the areas of market access, public market business, geographical expansion, customer trade channel strategy and building the marketing capability for Ferring in the APAC region. He has an excellent knowledge & understanding of the pharma market.

Winselow joined Eli Lilly in 2022 as Group Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Lilly Oncology. In this role, Winselow spearheaded global commercialization efforts and developed strategies for advancing Lilly’s oncology portfolio, focusing on innovative treatments in cancer care. Winselow’s leadership was pivotal in driving the company’s oncology business forward with key therapies and other novel cancer treatments that address unmet patient needs worldwide.
